Site work for a mixed-use development in Imler, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.
Work included under this contract consists of the replacement of approximately 9,800 feet of existing waterline with a combination of Fusible DR-18 PVC C-900 and HDPE pressure pipe by means of horizontal directional drilling along with the replacement of all associated appurtenances such as valves of various types for a complete and functional system. This work shall be completed without interruption to existing service other than minor interruptions during connections. Bidders for this project must provide SDB and VBE Participation Submittals Engineer's Estimate: $500,000 - $1 Million *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The goal of this project is to rehabilitate almost 2.0 of 5.5 total miles of watermain within Blue Knob State Park. The Contractor will design, permit, and construct the new work. This contract consists of the complete installation of approximately 6,850 lineal feet of DR-18, 4" diameter Fusible PVC C-900 pressure waterline by Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and 2,900 lineal feet of HDPE pressure waterline by HDD at Blue Knob State Park. Included in this footage is installing approximately thirty (30) new 4" diameter buried gate valves/boxes; Five (5) new air release valves with non-rising stem gate valves in manholes; two (2) new blow off valves; curb stops, corporations, and tees required to make waterline connections to the existing waterlines, buildings and appurtenances such as hydrants and blow off valves. Evaluations shall be performed on all waterline sections to ensure the new design will supply adequate pressure throughout the system and remedies will be introduced to correct any such deficiencies.
