The City of Fort Lauderdale, FL ("City") has issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit competitive proposals from one single entity ("Firm" or "Proposer" or "Design-Build Firm (DBF)") responsible for the design, permitting, construction, testing and startup of Gravity Pipe Improvements to the Downtown Collection System . The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to; replacement of 12, 14 and 15 - inch diameter gravity sewer with 15, 18 and 21-inch diameter gravity sewer pipelines, preferably using trenchless methods, and reconnecting the active sewer laterals to the new gravity sewer pipes, including all other aspects of the project to fulfill the intent of the Project as described in the Design Criteria Package and all supporting documents. The Proposer shall have the following Minimum Qualifications to be considered eligible to submit a Proposal in response to this Solicitation. It is the responsibility of the Proposer to ensure and certify that it meets the Minimum Qualifications stated below. Q and A deadline: September 24/2021 The design build firm must have a designer that is a Professional Engineer Registered in Florida and a general contractor having a valid GC license with underground utility designation. Contract duration: One Time Purchase This Contract is for the City of Fort Lauderdale's (City's) Gravity Pipe Improvements to the Downtown Collection System as specified herein. The Work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of the facilities consisting of, but not limited to, the following: o Upsize approximately 913 feet of the existing 12-inch gravity pipe to a 15-inch gravity pipe along E Las Olas Blvd from SE 1st Ave. to SE 4th Ave, o Upsize approximately 662 feet of the existing 14-inch gravity pipe to a 21-inch gravity pipe in from of Pump Station A-7, along SW 2nd St. from SW 1st Ave. to SE 1 st Ave, o Upsize approximately 545 feet of existing 15-inch gravity pipe to 18-inch gravity pipe along SE 1st Ave. from E Las Olas Blvd to SE 2nd St
