Renovation of a detention facility in Vienna, Illinois. Design plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
As of August 2, 2022, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. It is anticipated bidding will commence late 2022, with construction following early 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Vienna Correctional Center is a 69-building facility established in 1930. The scope of work provides for replacing the main substation with a utility owned substation, replacing the medium voltage cabling, sectionalizing switches and transformers throughout the facility. Some PCBs are leaking oil. A combined MBE/WBE goal of 20 percent is applicable to the A/E team. Some level of participation from both MBE and WBE firms is required to satisfy this goal (this requires including one or more MBE AND one or more WBE firms on the team). A VBE/PBE goal of 3 percent is applicable to the A/E team. The interviews for this project are tentatively scheduled for October 19, 2021. PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE REQUIRED: $2,000,000 The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
