As of 11/5/2021 project was already awarded for $1,024,250.95. The project consists of 1.5" mill & pave of streets in Kirby Industrial Park, full depth reclamation (FDR) of Danr Drive NE and 1" mill and pave of streets within Palm Bay Colony. The roadway improvements include FDR of Danr Drive NE with emulsion and cement and then all other streets are 1" or 1.5" milling and paving of the entire two travel lanes. All streets are within the City of Palm Bay Right of Way. Construction shall include all incidental items for work to be performed as per the construction plans for the roadways including FDR, milling and paving, removing and replacing sidewalks for ADA additions, installing truncated domes, temporary striping, final thermoplastic striping and pavement markings. The awarded contractor shall furnish and install all construction work identified on the plans per the specifications identified herein. Project Estimated Budget $1,052,355.30 While not intended to be an all-inclusive list, work shall include the following items: mobilization, erosion control, testing of all items per FDOT requirements and per the bid specification, milling pavement, hauling of millings to City Site at 1750 Main Street, edge grading, shoulder restoration, slope crown correction, leveling course of asphalt, temporary and final thermoplastic striping, pavement markings, reflective pavement markings, sodding, traffic coordination, maintenance of traffic plan preparation/submittal/approval and coordination with City staff, maintenance of traffic notification, and regular progress meeting attendance. All materials to be furnished on the project shall be FDOT approved materials or from an approved FDOT mine. The selected contractor shall provide all material and shop submittals for review and approval to the City as part of the construction. This project is a turnkey project from start to finish; furnish and install all items for all work identified in the project plans and bid specifications and all cost associated with the construction shall be included with the line items provided. No additional compensation for the work identified will be provided. The City reserves the right to waive any bid/proposal informality or technicality and to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, whichever serves the best interest of the City of Palm Bay.
