Sealed Bids are invited at and will be received as set forth herein. Owner: Borough of Shrewsbury, 419 Sycamore Avenue, Shrewsbury, NJ, 07702. Project Title: Improvements to Sickles Park Specifications, plans and forms of Bid for the proposed project prepared by Cranmer Engineering, P.A. may be picked up by appointment at the office of the Shrewsbury Borough Clerk in the Municipal Complex located at 419 Sycamore Avenue, Shrewsbury, NJ, 07702. Removal and replacement of walkways, playground safety surfacing improvements, installation of park amenities, ballfield turf replacement, batting cage renovations and general regrading and sod installation on certain parklands located at Lot 46, Block 23 & Lot 3, Block 38 located in the Borough of Shrewsbury, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid bond for not less than 10% of the amount Bid, but not exceeding $20,000. Consent of Surety: A Consent of Surety letter from a responsible Bonding Company must be included in the Bid as required by the Contract Documents. Bidders are required to comply with all statutory requirements including the requirements of P.L. 1975, C. 127 (Affirmative Action), P.L. 1999, C. 238 (Public Works Contractor Registration), P.L. 1963, C. 150 (Prevailing Wages), P.L. 2004, C. 57 (New Jersey Business Registration Requirements), and P.L. 1987, C. 48 (Submission of the Names and Addresses of Certain Subcontractors (NJSA 40A:11-16)). Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designed in the Contract Documents. The work to be performed under this Contract shall be completed within 60 calendar days from the time of giving notice to proceed Within ten (10) business days ofthe date of Award or Conditional Award, the bidder to whom the contract has been awarded shall complete and deliver a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond on forms satisfactory to the Owner. Each bond shall be separate and distinct and each shall be for a sum equal to the total contract price. The aggregate sum of both bonds shall therefore equal 200% of the total contract price.
