Shelby County desires to receive bids for the following: 1. Submit a bid for sod as described to be delivered to various sites within Shelby County, Alabama. Bid prices should be per pallet for 1-7 pallets delivered and 8 or more pallets delivered. 2. Pallet Return: If there is a deposit for pallets, this should be listed as a separate item. Sod shall be fresh, well-rooted sod free of weeds, disease, insects, and other grasses. The sod shall be machine cut with clean edges to a uniform thickness with 1 1/2 of topsoil. Sod shall be delivered and unloaded on 50 square yard pallets, and/or 70 square yard mini rolls. The Shelby County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in awarding this bid to the lowest responsive bidder. Bidders are to state that bids submitted are firm and that no claims for errors will be made after bids are opened and subsequent thereof.
