**As of October 4, 2021, this project has been awarded to Peter Baker & Son Co., in the amount of $591,947.70. Village of Wadsworth, Lake County, Illinois that sealed bids will be received for the 2021 Roadway Paving Improvements project. The proposed improvement includes: HMA pavement milling/pulverization, aggregate base course patching, HMA pavement placement, HMA surface patching, underdrain improvements, driveway removal/replacement, structure adjustments, curb & gutter replacements and site restoration within the Village. All bids offered must be accompanied by bid security in the form of cash, certified check or bid bond made payable to the Village of Wadsworth in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the aggregate of the bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. The two low bidders must file within 24 hours after the letting an "Affidavit of Availability" (Form BC 57), in duplicate, showing all uncompleted contracts awarded to them and all low bids pending award for Federal, State, County, Municipal and private work. One original shall be filed with the Awarding Authority and one original with the Engineer. The Village of Wadsworth reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any and all proposals for any reason deemed in the best interest of the Village. Unless all bids are rejected, the contract award will be made to the lowest responsive responsible bidder. Bidders who are awarded a contract shall be required to provide a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the total amount of the contract sum upon execution of the contract. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work under this Contract as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the requirements of the Bidding Documents.
