In general, the work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for construction of the following work: The project consists of addition and replacement of HVAC equipment including associated electrical work, controls and appurtenances at the Easterly WWTC, Westerly WWTC, Southerly WWTC, GJM, and EMSC. - The work generally consists of the following major elements: oReplacement and upgrades of 16 air handling units o 3 new steam to hot glycol heat exchangers o Replacement and upgrade of 2 combustion air units o Replacement and upgrade of 18 exhaust fans o Replacement and upgrade of 1 air rotation unit o Replacement and upgrade of 4 DX split systems o Replacement and upgrade of 5 rooftop units o Replacement and upgrade of 1 heat recovery unit o Replacement and upgrade of 2 natural gas infrared heaters o Replacement and upgrade of 2 natural gas duct heaters o Replacement and upgrade of 1500' of underground steam and condensate piping serving Easterly Chemical and Effluent Buildings o Replacement and upgrade of 24 VAV hot water control valves Refer to the contract documents and the Summary of work spec 01 11 00 for further description. The NEORSD reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received. Bidders shall review the Instructions to Bids and all other contract documents prior to submitting a bid for this project. The successful Bidder must comply with all the provisions of (a) The Davis-Bacon Act, (b) Contract Work Hours Standard Act, (c) The Copeland Act (Anti-Kickback) and (d) Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Contract will be subject to the NEORSD policies and goals regarding the use of minority, women, and small business enterprises (MBE/WBE/SBE). This policy is contained in the Contract Specifications. The MBE/WBE/SBE goal for this Contract is 20%, where the MBE/WBE combined goal is 15% and the SBE goal is 5%.
