The County of Monroe is accepting proposals for the paving of a new wearing course of asphalt on the main parking lot and drives at two locations: Location One: The Monroe County Inmate Dormitory Facility at 7000 East Dunbar Road, Monroe, MI 48161. Asphalt overlay approximately 32,000 sq. ft. @ 2" thickness. Saw cut, remove and replace sunken asphalt off rear doors. Add base material as needed. (Area will be marked at site) Saw cut, remove and replace sunken asphalt along rear perimeter of the building. Add base material as needed. (Area will be marked at site) Location Two: The main parking lot at Monroe County Jail at 100 E Second Street, Monroe, MI 48161 (behind jail southwest side of the building). Asphalt overlay approximately 9,600 sq. ft. @ 2" thickness. The project locations will be awarded as a single contract to a single contractor to perform the work. Please confirm all dimensions in the field prior to submitting a proposal. Both sites are mostly accessible for you to gain access to the work area any time of the normal workday hours.
