Renovation of a service station / car wash facility in Vancouver, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a service station / car wash facility.
**As of Sept. 14, 2021, the project has been awarded to Tapani, Inc. of Battle Ground, WA at $252,913.50. The start and completion date has not yet determined. The existing unit is a 4,000 gal. tank having two compartments: 2,000 gal. gasoline, 2,000 gal. diesel The Fueling Station Improvements Project includes the demolition and replacement of the existing skid mounted fuel storage tank and dispensing system with a new 6,000-gal dual-containment diesel and unleaded fuel storage tank and dispensing system. Work includes installation of associated fuel tank components, access stairway, fueling spill containment pad and dead-end sump catch basin modifications. Work in this project is within of the security area requiring Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC). The engineer's estimate for the project is $262,200 - $296,450. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Individuals attending the non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be required to furnish and utilize safety equipment to include reflective clothing (or vest) and sturdy shoes. In accordance with Washington State Labor and Industries guidance, Port policy for face coverings provides that masks appropriate for COVID 19 protection are required for non-vaccinated individuals indoors (no ventilated masks allowed). The Port of Vancouver reserves the right to request vaccination status of contractors should the need arise (ie: Indoor site visits, confined space, etc.). Face coverings are not required indoors if you choose to provide vaccine verification. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Port of Vancouver. Questions must be submitted via the Port of Vancouver ProcureWare system no later than Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 12:00 PM. The Port of Vancouver in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
