Site work and paving for a road / highway in Quincy, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The bidder or their subcontractor shall be prequalified in the following work classes, Sidewalk Construction, Flexible Paving, Pavement Markings, and Roadway Signing. This project will include safety upgrades to consists of adding paved shoulders, guardrail improvements, upgrading pavement markings and signage to include rumble strips at edge line and the centerline, enhancing curve warning signs, upgrading signs at intersections, and adding chevrons where needed. Pre-Bid Meeting Date: NA B.I.D. NO. 21-26 The completion date for this project will be 120 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $1,170 per day. The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder. All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of the contractors doing business with the State of Florida. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bid and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. The County further reserves the right to award the agreement to that bidder whose bid best complies with the specifications. Bidders may withdraw their bid by notifying the County in writing at any time prior to the deadline for bid submittal. After the deadline, the bid will constitute an irrevocable offer for a period of sixty (60) days. Once opened, bids become a record of the County and will not be returned to the bidders. EEO/AA
