Renovation of a mixed-use development in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and office development.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a Bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) as of the date and time of the bid opening in one of the following disciplines C032 HVACR With C029 STRUCTURAL STEEL C040 FIREPROOF APPLICATIONS. Bids must be submitted on the provided proposal forms and be accompanied by certified check, cashiers check or bid bond drawn to the order of the Elmwood Park Board of Education for not less than Ten Percent of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bid securities shall comply with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24. Bids shall also include a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if successful, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance Bond and a New Jersey Statutory Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law, if it is in the interest of the Board to do so. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 et seq., Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and to possess a current Certificate from said Department indicating compliance at the time of bidding. The Elmwood Park Public Schools Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Elmwood Park Public Schools Board of Education. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope and hand delivered, sent UPS or Federal Express or similar courier service to the Elmwood Park Public Schools Board of Education with the name of the project, Re-Bid HVAC Replacement at Elmwood Park Board of Education Administration Office plainly marked on the front of the envelope.
