To provide all labor, materials and equipment to construct the Highlands County Arbuckle Creek Road Turn Lane Project. The work consists of adding pavement tapers and shoulders to approximately 2,100 LF of roadway for westbound right-turn lane and eastbound left-turn lane on Arbuckle Creek Road into Landfill Road. This project also includes regrading and sodding swales, maintenance of traffic, the removal of existing signs and installation of new signs, removal of existing fence and installation of new fence, installation of new pavement markings and the installation of lighting and associated utilities at the intersection. Each submittal shall include one (1) original bid submittal packet, one (1) exact paper copy of the bid submittal packet (total of 2 paper copies) and one (1) exact electronic copy (thumb drive) of the Bid submittal packet. A Bidder must submit a Bid on all Work to receive consideration. A Bid Bond or Cashiers Check in an amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must be included on Bids over one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00). If the successful Bid is greater than two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00), a Public Construction Bond will be required. An Irrevocable Letter of Credit may be considered in lieu of the Public Construction Bond depending on its verbiage. The Bidder must be a Licensed General Contractor in the State of Florida and must be Fdot prequalified as indicated. The Bid must be accompanied by evidence of the Bidder's qualifications to do business in the State of Florida, in accordance with Chapter 489, Florida Statutes. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any parts thereof, and the determination of this Award, if an Award is made, will be made to the most responsive and responsible Bidder whose Bid and qualifications indicate that the Award will be in the best interest of the County. The County reserves the right to waive irregularities in the Bid Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially completed within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days and completed and ready for final payment within one hundred fifty (150) calendar days. The general scope of work for this project includes "Adding Pavement Tapers and shoulders to approximately 2,100 LF of roadway for westbound right-turn lane and east bound left-turn lane on Arbuckle Creek Road into Landfill Road. This project also includes regrading and sodding swales. The entire intersection shall be resurfaced and striped. The project is located in Highlands County, Florida. All workmanship and materials shall be in conformance with the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (2021) (excepting Division 1, Section 9 regarding fuel adjustments and Price Escalation) and the Design Standards for Design, Construction, Maintenance and Utility Operations on the State Highway System (2021-22)
