As of March 13, 2023, an engineer firm has been selected for this project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. Fort Wayne Public Works Division is seeking qualified engineering consultants to provide engineering services and assistance with the reconstruction of Goshen Avenue between Cambridge Blvd. and W. Coliseum Blvd. The project will include a combination of typical three (3) and four (4) eleven (11) to twelve (12) foot travel lanes where needed. Roadway will be designed as an urban street incorporating context sensitive design principles and include curb and gutter, storm sewers, pedestrian infrastructure, street lighting, street trees. The City of Fort Wayne's Complete Streets (Resolution 103-11-2-16-2) design approach should be utilized on this project. It is anticipated that additional right-of-way will be needed for this project. All right-of-way engineering will need to be included as part of these engineering services. Land acquisition services will be performed by City of Fort Wayne personnel. It is also anticipated that permitting will need to be completed for the project. Project coordination and permitting with Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and CSX Railroad will also be needed to be included in this project. The project will be bid through the Board of Public Works.
