This project shall mitigate the flooding and safety concerns of the road side ditch along Tycoon Way, with a new pipe and drain installation. All work shall be done in accordance to MSD's Standard Specifications. There will be no pre-bid meeting held for this project. The Engineer Construction Cost Estimate for this project is between $ 300,000.00 and $400,000.00. The Project Manager for this Invitation to Bid is Joseph S Exely. The contract will be awarded on the basis of the lowest, responsive, responsible bid, subject to the approval of the MSD Board. This Contract provides 745 linear feet (LF) of 36-inch pipe, 700 LF of 30-inch pipe, 15 - 4- foot catch basin, one 36-inch headwall, and one 30-inch headwall installation. Concrete driveway apron replacement, water / gas services relocation, and final restoration is also included. All pipe materials shall comply with MSD Standard Specifications, and MSD Standard Drawings. o Stone encasement for ADS pipe shall comply with MSD Standard Specifications (Section 4, 4.3.2.3) unless otherwise noted by MSD. o Safeloading work shall comply with MSD Standard Specifications (Section 4, 4.3.2.7) unless otherwise noted by MSD. o All pipe installation deeper than 48-inches, shall require trench backfill to be compacted. The contractor shall comply with MSD Standard Specifications (Section 3, 3.3.5.1.1) when performing compaction work with no additional cost to MSD.
