ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2021, AT 3:00 PM: POTENTIAL OFFERORS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BRING MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, FIRE ALARM, ROOFING, AND OTHER SUBCONTRACTORS, TO INSPECT THE EXISTING BUILDING CONDITIONS. THE ARCHITECT AND MECHANICAL ENGINEER WILL BE PRESENT. This meeting will be at Findley Oaks ES. The Fulton County Schools (FCS) is seeking a qualified and experienced firm to provide Construction Services for Findley Oaks & Crabapple Crossing Elementary Schools located at 5880 Findley Chase Drive, Johns Creek, GA 30097 and 12775 Birmingham Highway, Milton GA 30004. IMPROVE INDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY o Replace existing fan coil units, chillers, boilers, pumps, piping accessories and fans. o Update HVAC control system. o Provide and replace new ductwork where indicated. o Contractor shall test to verify HVAC unit shut down (during alarm) and smoke damper operations (during alarm). MAINTAIN SAFETY SYSTEMS o Replace or add handicap grab bars. o Replace lavatory pipe wrapping and install new ADA pipe wrapping. o Replace the fire alarm system. o Furnish and install smoke detectors. o Connect emergency power to the HVAC main control panel. o Connect the IDF equipment in network closets to the emergency generator o Provide new circuits and disconnects for HVAC equipment. o Switchboard replacement o Perform low voltage testing in accordance with General Requirements Section 011001, 1.3, B. OBLIGATIONS OF CONTRACTOR o Prior to demolition of existing fire alarm system: Test the existing flow switch connection to the existing fire alarm panel and test the signal to the 911 call center. INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS o Replace damaged ceiling tiles. o Replace damaged vinyl composition tile flooring. o Install new base in the gymnasium. EXTERIOR AND SITE MAINTENANCE IMPROVEMENTS o Clean exterior brick. o Repair existing brick. o Repair existing brick joints. o Clean and repair existing stucco soffits. o Replace flashing at edge of metal roof. o Install new flashing over existing equipment supports and at penetrations. o Replace defective glass panels. o Replace missing window mullions. CRABAPPLE CROSSING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS o Exterior Doors: Replace all exterior door sweeps. o Windows: Replace exterior storefront system at Cafeteria, Media Center, and Classroom Wings.
