This project provides for cut slope remediation along the Turnpike roadway shoulder. Work includes cut slope excavation, single face concrete barrier installation, rock fall fence installation, and maintenance and protection of traffic. Milepost 38.34 is located 9.90 miles east of the Cranberry Interchange, Exit 28, and Milepost 38.55 is located 0.5 miles west of the Butler Valley Interchange, Exit 39, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The proposal and plans are published electronically in EBS and are available to registered business partners for downloading and printing. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
