Renovation of a laboratory facility in Jefferson City, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 16,055-square-foot, six-story above grade laboratory facility.

The project includes the renovation of selective laboratory spaces within the first floor Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) & third floor (non BSL-3) environments. the spaces will receive new ceilings, new flooring, power & data cabling, and will be reconfigured with new modular laboratory work tables. the facility will remain fully operational during the extent of the renovation work. MBE/WBE/SDVE Goals: MBE 10%, WBE 10%, and SDVE 3% The contract performance time is 270 working days from the transmittal date of this agreement 2. The Work includes selective interior demolition within enclosed laboratory spaces of gypsum wallboard ceilings, gypsum wallboard partitions, doors and frames, built-in laboratory casework, counters and plumbing fixtures, mechanical ducts, electrical devices, seamless flooring and base, and a ThirdFloor exterior window. Where ceilings are removed, existing lighting and diffusers are removed for disposal. Fire sprinkler modifications may be required. New construction work includes electrical, mechanical, plumbing modifications, installation of new gypsum wallboard ceilings, new gypsum wallboard partitions/partition infill, seamless flooring with cove base, and painting as outlined in the Construction Documents. Coordination is required between all contractors providing new Work including laboratory fixtures and furnishings. 3. Coordination with MSPHL: The moving of existing stored materials, selective laboratory testing equipment, and selective laboratory supplies and furnishings will be conducted by vendors for MSPHL per each laboratory space renovated. Move phases consist of moving laboratory items from spaces designated for renovation to working laboratory spaces. Following laboratory turnover, laboratory items (equipment, etc.) will be moved into the newly renovated space for use by MSPHL
