The limits of the segment on Route 218 are Route 9W through the Village of Highland Falls to Route 9W at West Point's Stony Lonesome Gate's access. This project also includes the entirety of both Old State Road from Route 9W to Route 218 as well as West Point Highway from Route 218 to West Point's Thayer Gate. The work will primarily consist of milling the existing pavement and resurfacing the roadway with a warm-mix asphalt overlay to the road surface to extend its service life and improve the quality and safety of the pavement. Additionally, existing pedestrian facilities will be reconstructed to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act specifications where applicable.
