Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 650-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; and parking garage.
As of January 2022, the project bid, however no bids were received. The project is on hold and the owner is rethinking the strategy on procurement. This project consists of improvements and renovations to the existing MidtowThe Midtown Redevelopment Authority ("OWNER") will receive Bids n Park and Garage. New food truck electrical outlets, water hose bib, exhaust fans, and re-grading of the existing slopes and drains in the garage tunnels will be part of the scope of work. Bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount from an FDIC insured bank or surety company licensed to issue bid bonds in the State of Texas. The successful Bidder must furnish a performance bond, a payment bond, and a maintenance bond on the forms provided with the Bid Documents, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price from a surety company licensed by the State of Texas to issue such payment and performance bonds. The surety on the payment bond must be the surety on the performance bond. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive formalities or irregularities in bidding.In case of lack of clarity in stating prices, the OWNER reserves the right to consider the most advantageous interpretation thereof or reject the Bid The Contractor shall achieve substantial completion of the Work not later than 90 calendar days from the date of commencement and shall achieve final completion of the Work not later than 120 calendar days from the date of commencement, subject to adjustments of the Contract Time as provided in the Contract Documents. This project consists of improvements and renovations to the existing Midtown Park and Garage. New food truck electrical outlets, water hose bibb, exhaust fans, replacing door hardware and regrading of the existing slopes and drains in the garage tunnels will be part of the scope of work.
