Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Calgary, Alberta. Design plans call for the construction of a 102,600-square-foot municipal facility; parking garage; and parking garage.
Construction of a new building for the CoA of approximately 9,500 m2. The new building will contain a parkade, courtrooms, and a number of spaces for offices and court related functions. Scope of work includes the abatement and Renovation of the Historic CoA building (approx. 4,000 m2) and a Pedestrian Bridge connector to the Calgary Court Centre, approximately 600 m2. Renovation work will address the environmental issues within the building, address code compliance issues, and prepare some spaces for CoA related functions, such as Judicial Dispute Resolution spaces for example. The exact spaces and functions will be determined in Schematic Design with consultation from the user groups. TIMELINE: Project is in design. Consulting engineers will not be released for publication. Schedules for working drawings, tender and construction are unknown. Further update may be available late 2025/2026 pending owner's final plans. Construction budget including design & contingency is $66 million. Method of delivery may be Construction Management.
