As of September 21, 2022, an award is pending to the prospective architect. Staff is to provide an update on the inclusive design charrette and community engagement program for the golf course before moving forward with a professional consultant services agreement with the prospective architect. Scope of Services This Request for Proposals (RFP) is for a team to lead an inclusive design charette for the City-owned Fairmount Park Golf Course property (Subject Property). It is anticipated that community stakeholders will be invited to identify, over a series of community meetings, one or more possible re-development visions, ideally with a preferred development(s) layout, and to plan for and design the public space (including public improvements/amenities) surrounding the Subject Property. Upon completion of the services rendered per this RFP and described in the attached scope of services (Exhibit A), it is the intent of the City of Riverside (City), to seek City Council consideration to declare the Subject Property as surplus subject to future redevelopment. If approved, it is anticipated that a subsequent RFP would be issued in the near future for the Subject Property to identify developer(s) interested in purchasing and developing the Subject Property in accordance with the community vision identified via the charette process and final City Council direction.
