Improvements and modifications to the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) shall include the following: 1. Demolition of the existing grit system and installation of new grit system equipment including grit chamber mechanical equipment, grit pump, grit dewatering equipment, piping, electrical and controls, and associated appurtenances. 2. Removal and replacement of two (2) Aeration Basin surface mounted aerators, electrical and controls, and associated appurtenances. Removal and replacement of Aeration Basin effluent weir gate and associated appurtenances. Removal and proper disposal of all water, sludge, sediment, grit, and debris from Aeration Basin. 3. Removal and disposal of all water, sludge, sediment, grit, and debris from Final Clarifier No. 1. Removal and replacement of Final Clarifier No. 1 mechanism, walkway assembly, platform, handrails, weir panels, scum baffles, anchors, electrical and controls, and associated appurtenances. 4. Removal and replacement of Sludge Digester surface mounted aerator, center pier, walkway assembly, platform, handrails, electrical and controls, and associated appurtenances. Removal and replacement of Sludge Digester telescoping valve and associated appurtenances. Removal and proper disposal of all water, sludge, sediment, grit, and debris from Sludge Digester. 5. Removal and replacement of influent lift station plug valves, check valves, and necessary piping and fittings. 6. Removal and replacement of return sludge pump station plug valves, check valves, and necessary piping and fittings. 7. Abandonment of existing chlorination building and installation of a new chlorination building, chlorine storage and feed equipment, drain line, chlorine gas feed line, electrical and controls, and associated appurtenances. Removal and replacement of chlorine gas induction unit, crane, electrical and controls, and associated appurtenances. Removal and replacement of two (2) Chlorine Contact Chamber influent sluice gates and two (2) Chlorine Contact Chamber effluent sluice gates. 8. Abandonment of existing standby generator and installation of a new standby generator, foundation, sidewalks, electrical and controls, and associated appurtenances.
