Renovation of a military facility in Jacksonville, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Naval Station Mayport has an extensive sanitary sewer collection and distribution system in various conditions. The purpose of this project is to repair imminent failures in the sanitary sewer system identified by a 2014 survey of Naval Station Mayport's entire sewer system, as described below. Project includes demolishing of beyond serviceable manholes and sewer lines which cannot be repaired by current in-place engineering methods. These include pipe bursting technologies. For the scope of the project that is throughout the installation, a portion of the sanitary piping is under existing roadway which may require asphalt work. For the scope of the project that is close to the waterfront, dewatering will be included due to the high groundwater table and tidal influence. The project also includes upgrading two main lift stations (1352 and 1354) servicing multiple berths (Bravo and Charlie) on the waterfront and the complete demolition and relocation of Pump Station 253.
