Water Treatment Plant Pump Replacement Project The Work under this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the removal and replacement of Raw Water Pump #1, Raw Water Pump #2, Finished Water Pump #2 and associated motors with the replacement of either a new or refurbished pump or motor, as specified in the contract documents. The project shall include furnishing all plant, labor, services, equipment, materials, devices, facilities, and appurtenances for the demolition, removal, and disposal of select existing materials, equipment, and facilities, and the installation of new or (as noted) refurbished materials, equipment, and facilities. Replacement activities identified in the contract scope of work indicate the demolition, removal, and disposal of existing, followed by furnishing and installation of new or refurbished. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope indicating the applicant's name and address and clearly marked "WTP Pump Replacement Project". The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals required for the completion of the Town of Orleans Water Treatment Plant Pump Replacement Project. These improvements are summarized in Section 01010 and are depicted on the Contract Drawings, and include, but are not limited to mechanical process and electrical improvements to the existing Water Treatment Plant pumps The bidding and award of the Contract shall be in full compliance with Sections 39M inclusive of M.G.L. Chapter 30. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security as specified with the bid documents. Prevailing wage rates apply to this project. Award of the project will be subject to the availability of funds. The Town Administrator reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities to the extent allowed by law, and to make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
