The Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract to provide Roof Replacement services at the Election Warehouse Building, 13180 Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers, Florida 33907. The work covered by these specifications consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary in connection with Roof Replacement. Work to be performed by the CONTRACTOR includes but is not limited to: Mobilization/Demobilization Removing and replacing approximately 55,700 square feet of roofing. Removing all roofing materials down to the structural deck. Remove and Reinstall existing lightning protection system per contract documents using a UL Certified Installer. Provide Manufacturer's 20-year roof warranty including manufacturer's roof maintenance and repair instruction. Cleaning of all work areas daily. Restore all work staging and layout areas to pre-construction conditions. Unless otherwise stated in the scope of work, specifications, or special conditions the default contract term shall be for one (1) three-year (3) period. Upon mutual written agreement of both parties, the parties may renew the Agreement, in whole or in part, for a renewal term or terms not to exceed the initial Agreement term of three (3) years. The increments of renewal shall be at the sole discretion of the County as deemed in its best interest. Payment and Performance Bond: In accordance with F.S. 255.05 and Lee County Ordinance 18-22, a Public Payment and Performance Bond is to be issued in a sum equal to one-hundred (100%) percent of the total awarded contract amount by a surety company considered satisfactory by Lee County and otherwise authorized to transact business in the State of Florida shall be required from the successful bidder/vendor. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any minor irregularity or technicality in the bids received. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s) within the category chosen for basis of award.
