In alignment with the City's Strategic Roadmap "Support Quality of Life" Priority Project No. 2, the City will soon be beautifying the Jackson Corridor with median improvements, including new trees, plants, bark chips, pavers, and more. Work on the project is anticipated to begin in FY23. The project is included in the City of Hayward's FY 2023-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Per the owner, as of May 17, 2022, the FY 2023-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is expected to be adopted on June 6, 2022 and a public hearing will be held on June 7, 2022. The owner has also stated that there will be a work session on May 17, 2022. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
