Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Ely, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
GAOA South Kawishiwi Pavilion Structural Repair and Restoration B. Project Description: The project consists of the following major items: 1. SPECIAL NOTE; This is an historic log building and all work must preserve the historic character of the building and site. The log repairs must follow the preservation guidelines established by the National Park Service Preservation Briefs. 2. Careful demolition of the existing East side porch and construct a new ADA compliant accessible ramp to the side entrance of the pavilion. 3. Repair (2) deteriorated logs of the log pavilion. One 9'6" section of 12" log and a 22'6" section of 16" sill log. There is an option to replace the entire section of sill log. 4. Replace the log rails on one side of the front porch to match existing. Project magnitude is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000 Solicitation documents will be available on this site on or about 07/11/2022. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
