The project includes removal and replacement of existing asphalt paved basketball and tennis courts at Austin Park, Harrer Park, Oketo Park, Mansfield Park, and Shermer Park which are all in Morton Grove, Illinois. Some courts will be completely removed and replaced and some courts will be milled and overlaid. Additional improvements include removal and replacement of concrete paving, new fencing, new equipment, storm sewer installation, as well as landscape restoration. The successful bidder will also be required to execute AIA Form A101 - 2017 as the contract between the parties. In all work performed under this Contract, the Contractor and all of its subcontractors shall comply with the current provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act of the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, Sections 39s-1 et seq. No bids will be withdrawn without the written consent of the Morton Grove Park District. If a Bid is withdrawn, the Bidder will not be permitted to submit another Bid for the same project. Only bids in compliance with the provisions of the Bid Documents will be considered. Bids will be considered firm for a period of ninety (90) days. The Morton Grove Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions of bids/portions of work and to waive any technicalities in the bidding if it should be deemed in the public interest. Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids. Successful contract bidders are also encouraged to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, "Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development" (OSLAD) grant program.
