Contract No. 1: Civil Construction Work Contract No. 2: Electrical Construction Work Contract No. 1: Civil Construction Work includes: concrete sidewalk removal and construction, concrete curb removal and construction, ADA curb ramp construction, concrete stair removal, chain link fence removal and ornamental fence construction, miscellaneous stormwater improvements, exterior building entrance improvements, and all associated mobilization and demobilization, traffic control, and erosion and sedimentation control measures to support the project. Contract No. 2: Electrical Construction Work includes: Pedestrian lighting installation, electrical conduit and wiring, lighting control panels and services and all associated mobilization and demobilization, traffic control, and erosion and sedimentation control measures to support the project. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, bid bond, bank cashier's check, or trust company treasurer's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, made payable to Dallas Borough. The successful bidder shall be expected to execute and file the proposed contract and to furnish and pay for Performance, Payment and other Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price as security for the performance of the contract and payment of all costs thereof within ten days after the award of the contract. If the Bidder shall fail or refuse to enter into the contract after given the award, the proceeds of the check deposited by him shall be used as liquidated damages by the Borough of Dallas for his failure or refusal to comply. All bidders/offerors are hereby notified that all work under this contract is governed by the labor standards and wage determination decision issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry and are included in the Contract Documents. Sealed Bids marked "Bid Enclosed - Downtown Improvements Project - Contract No. 1: Civil Construction or Contract No. 2 Electrical Construction" The Dallas Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities in any bid, for the best interests of the Borough. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
