Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bentonville, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Contract provides for the reconstruction of approximately 7,273 linear feet of 8th Street from S.W. I-Street to S.E. J-Street in Bentonville, Arkansas. The reconstruction will widen the roadway to 4 and 5 lanes, provide new traffic signals, and replace the storm drainage systems for the length of project. The widened roadway will include vehicular lanes, a cycle-track or shared-use paths, and sidewalks. Minor utility relocations will be required to facilitate the work. All contractors intending to bid SHALL register as a plan holder by notifying the Issuing Office via e-mail. When registering as a plan holder, contractors shall submit primary contact information including name of contractor, primary contact, phone number, fax number, and physical address. FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A PLAN HOLDER CAN RESULT IN YOUR BID BEING REJECTED. Interested parties are responsible for printing. Questions will be received until 5:00 pm Friday, December 10, 2021. Bidders do not have to be pre-qualified to do business and licensed in order to submit a Bid. However, all licenses in accordance with all applicable laws of the state and local governments where the Project is located must be secured by the winning Bidder prior to execution of the Contract. Bids received from Bidders who are not recorded by Owner as having received the Bid Documents will not be opened. Prequalification of Bidders will not be required. Owner will evaluate Bidders in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security in the form of a certified or bank cashier's check or a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of total Bid price shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bid shall be conditioned upon compliance with all labor related requirements including the regulations and stipulations concerning equal employment opportunity, minority manpower utilization, and minimum wage rates, as applicable. The City of Bentonville hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discriminiation provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962, and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive irregularities therein, and all Bidders shall agree that such rejection shall be without liability on the part of the Owner for any damage or claim brought by any Bidder because of such rejections, nor shall the Bidders seek any recourse of any kind against the Owner because of such rejections. The filing of any Bid in response to this invitation shall constitute an agreement of the Bidder to these conditions.
