The owner has selected a Construction Manager. Sarasota County ("County"), a political subdivision of the State of Florida, will receive bids on the date indicated in Periscope S2G for the purpose of selecting a qualified Proposer to provide construction manager at risk services for the replacement and modernization of controls for three (3) elevators and two (2) dumbwaiters in the Historic Courthouse Sarasota County intends to renovate the conveyance equipment in the Historic Courthouse located at 2000 Main Street, Sarasota, FL (the "Facility"). The renovation, designed and engineered by a Sarasota architectural firm, will be constructed during continuous operations of the Facility. The County expects to start construction in early 2022. 1.1 Components of the renovations may include, but are not limited to, the following: a. Full conveyance equipment upgrades to two (2) piston passenger elevators and one (1) traction freight elevator including new controllers, variable-voltage/variable-frequency (VVVF) drives, alternating current (AC) motors, rope grippers, signal fixtures and wiring to the existing fire alarm status panel. b. Upgrading elevator cabs to American with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and replacing cab interiors. c. Installation of new lighting and heat detectors in elevator pits and adjusting lights in the elevator equipment room. d. Ensuring existing fire status panel for all three (3) building elevators communicate and work. e. Coordination of owner security card reader system. f. Modernization of two (2) traction dumb waiters and one (1) wheelchair lift.
