Bids must comply and be submitted in accordance with the project technical specifications. The Contractor agrees that the work shall be started not later than the date indicated in the Notice to Proceed and that the work on CITY OF DELAND FY 2021 WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS shall be completed substantially within 210 days and all remaining work shall be completed within 30 days of the Notice ofSubstantial Completion. The project consists of approximately 400 LF of 6-inch PVC, and 100 LF of 8-inch PVC installed by open cut construction; and 8,840 LF of 6-inch HDPE and 1,080 LF of 8-inch HDPE installed by directional drill. New fire hydrants and isolation valves are to be provided approximately every 500 feet and every 1,000 feet respectively as well as disinfection sample points per FDEP regulations. Driveway and roadway repair, including concrete, asphalt, dirt, and gravel replacement in kind will be required at all open cut areas. The project will be in five locations located in unincorporated Volusia County and will provide potable water services to various parcels in the following locations: Part A - Highlands Phase 2 Improvements - Pine Avenue, Palmetto Avenue, Palm Avenue, Oak Avenue, Magnolia Avenue and North Kepler Road. Part B - Andover Improvements - Andover Street and First Street. Part C - Arlington Improvements - Arlington Street and New Hampshire Avenue. Part D - Lake Ruby Improvements - Lake Ruby Drive, Park Drive, and Third Avenue. Part E - Aquarius Improvements - Aquarius Avenue. This project is under Appropriation No. 404-404-536-632138 3. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, services and incidentals to complete all Work required by these Specifications and as shown on the Drawings. 4. The Contractor shall perform the Work complete, in place, and ready for continuous service, and shall include repairs, testing, permits, cleanup, replacements and restoration required as a result of damages caused during this construction. 5. All materials, equipment, skills, tools and labor which is reasonably and properly inferable and necessary for the proper completion of the Work in a substantial manner and in compliance with the requirements stated or implied by these Specification or Drawings shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor without additional compensation, whether specifically indicated in the Contract Documents or not. 6. The Contractor shall comply with all Municipal, County, State, Federal, and other codes which are applicable to this Project.
