Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Gentry, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The major items of the project include: mobilization & demobilization, maintenance of traffic, reconstruction of roadway, demolition and clearing work, earthwork, asphalt, aggregate base course, sub-surface drainage structures, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, striping, signage, and traffic signals. All bid related questions shall be submitted to Mr. Krishnan prior to close of business on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021. Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. 22-9-203, the City of Bentonville encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups. The City of Bentonville hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the City of Bentonville, Arkansas in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. The bid proposal and work of the proposed contract shall be in accordance with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, ordinances and regulations. The Attention of the Bidder is directed to the applicable federal and state requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract. The contractor's license shall be provided at the time the contract is executed. Registration and good standing in the System for Award Management (SAM) will be required prior to contract execution. This Project is a Federal-Aid Contract. This project requires wage rates to be paid according to Davis Bacon Federal Wage Rates. The City of Bentonville reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids, choose the most qualified bidder for the Project, and to postpone award of the Contract for a period of time which shall not exceed beyond 90 days from the bid opening date.
