Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Brick, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the construction of a 7,340-square-foot fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

Proposals must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township of Brick and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of Treasurer of the Township of Brick for not less than ten percent of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond for the full amount of this project is required. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Township of Brick in a lawful manner. This project is funded by the Township of Brick. The Contractors shall adhere to all requirements of said agency. The Township or the Engineer reserves the right to require a complete experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before awarding the Contract. Proposals for this Contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract documents. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Township. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the following A. Affirmative Action requirements (P.L. 1975, C.127, N.J.A.C. 17:27, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.). B. The provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.). C. Davis-Bacon Federal Wage Rules. D. Anti-Kickback Regulations under Section 2 of the Act of June 13, 1934, known as the Copeland Act. E. Worker and Community Right-to-Know Act (N.J.S.A. 34:5A-1). F. New Jersey Business Registration Certificate (P.L. 2004 C.57 & P.L. 2009, c.315). G. Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran (P.L. 2012, C.25). H. Contractor Apprenticeship Program Requirements (P.L. 2019, C. 21). Moreover, the bid must be accompanied by a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of the stock in accordance with the provisions of the Public Disclosure Law (P.L. 1988, C.33, N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2). Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal forms in the manner designated in the Contract documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the Township Clerk, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick, New Jersey 08723 The project scope includes a new 7340 s.f. structural steel building, with associated concrete, plumbing, electrical, and site work with other incidental work. As an option, the Owner requests an 'Alternative Deduct' Bid Price to replace the steel building with a Certified Pole Barn, matching the dimensions and appurtenances contained within the steel building specification. All work on this contract shall be completed within two-hundred seventy (270) calendar days. Contract Documents and Drawings for the proposed work, which have been prepared by Theodore Wilkinson, P.E. of the firm of Colliers Engineering and Design, Inc. dba Maser Consulting.
