Renovation of a water / sewer project in St Charles, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City of St. Charles is requesting bids for the Walnut Street Watermain & Storm Sewer Improvements. The proposed work consists of the abandonment and installation of ductile iron water main, HDPE storm sewer along with water service reconnections, appurtenances, drilling, sidewalk repair, and related restoration work. The Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/0.01-12) may be applicable for this work. The purpose of this exploration and analysis was to determine the various components of the soil, the engineering characteristics of the subgrade materials, and to provide criteria for use by the design engineers. The scope of this exploration included a geological reconnaissance of the site, a review of available soil information, subsurface exploration, soil testing, and an engineering analysis and evaluation of the materials encountered. The proposed work for the WALNUT STREET WATERMAIN & STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS consists of the abandonment and installation of ductile iron water main, HDPE storm sewer along with water service reconnections, appurtenances, drilling, sidewalk repair, and related restoration work located in the City of St. Charles, in accordance with the Plans and Specifications as set forth in the Contract Documents.
