Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Fairview, Oregon. Working plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
As of May 24, 2022, project was awarded to Swinerton Builders but no awarded amount available. The owner has selected a Construction Manager. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. Metro is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide construction management and general contracting services in two phases: preconstruction phase services and construction phase services, and as described in the solicitation document. The current operation and maintenance site at Blue Lake Park no longer meets program requirements, does not meet current seismic/structural code, does not meet ADA requirements and does not advance Metro's sustainability Goals. This CMGC project will address these issues, either by replacing the current facility or renovating/expanding the existing one. . The existing facility was built in the mid-1960s and consists of: o Curry Building (shops, offices and storage; approx. 8,400 sf) o Covered "carport" for outdoor storage of vehicles and equipment (approx. 2,600 sf) o Paved parking/equipment staging work yard (approx. 38,000 sf) New 4,500 sf office building with public lobby for park guest services, staff offices, conference rooms, break areas, restrooms and locker rooms. o Renovation of the existing Curry Building with repair services and equipment storage. o Site improvements for better circulation, use of space and emphasis on site security. o The project will be designed to meet Core Green Building Certification standards of the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) The term of the contract is anticipated to be June 2022 through December 2024.
