Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Ripon, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,496-square-foot elderly care / assisted living facility; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project is for the construction of a Senior Activity Center and trail extensions. The building includes 3,556 sf of enclosed building space and 940 sf of covered patio space. Project includes site development with a parking lot, drives, concrete walks and patios, landscaping, site work and multi-purpose trail work. The facility will be constructed with concrete foundations, concrete slab on grade floors, wood framed walls, siding, masonry veneer and metal shingle roofing over wood trusses. PROPOSED SCHEDULE is as follows: Project Award is scheduled for February 8, 2022 and Final Completion is October 27, 2022. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. BIDDER is required to deliver the original bid bond within the 72 hours of bid opening to MSA Professional Services, Inc., Attn: Carter Arndt, 1230 South Boulevard, Baraboo, WI 53913. The bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. Performance and Payment Bonds for the full contract amount shall be required from the successful Bidder. Prequalification of bidders will not be required. Bidders to whom award of a Contract is under consideration shall submit to Architect, upon request, a properly executed AIA Document A305 Contractor's Qualifications Statement. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. Federal wage rates can be found . Be aware that project Administrators, Bidders, and Contractors are required to use the latest federal wage rate available at the time of bid opening. This project anticipates the use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive or not waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept any proposal which they deem most favorable to the interests of the Owner.
