Pierce County's Facilities Management Department is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from multi-disciplined Architectural and Engineering (A/E) professional individuals or firms to provide services to do work in Pierce County, Washington for the design of improvements to the Medical Examiner Building including disabling and removing and disposal of an existing x-ray machine, installation of a new CT scanner (including shielding calculations and room design in accordance with WAC 246-225-030), replacement of walk-in coolers and freezer, upgrade and replacement of existing stationary emergency generator, and the addition of a sewer cleanout for the existing autopsy suite gray-water line. Pierce County ME Building will remain in operation during construction. Services will include phasing plans and strategies for accomplishing construction on an operating facility. Selected individuals or firms shall include but are not limited to: architects, mechanical engineers, civil engineers, structural engineers, electrical engineers, cost estimators, industrial hygienists. All professionals and their sub-contractors must be licensed to work in their respective fields as required by the State of Washington.
