Fall Protection System Project All bidders are encouraged to attend. Any questions or inquiries should be submitted in writing to ensure accuracy and emailed to rreed@greaterdaytonrta.org A Bid Bond, Cashier's Check or Certified Check Must Accompany This Bid for Not Less Than 10 % of the Base Bid Price. In the Event Bid Is Accepted, a Performance Bond in the Amount of 100 % & a Payment Bond in the Amount of 50% Will Be Required of the Contract Amount Within Ten (10) Calendar Days After Notification of Award. The RTA reserves the right, as the interests of the RTA may require, to postpone, accept or reject any and all bids and to waive defects or irregularities in bids received and to award a contract(s) in the best interest of the RTA. The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Contractor to provide and install multiple rigid rail fall protection systems for the RTA. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and expertise to install these systems as designed. As part of this bid package, RTA will provide engineered drawings to guide the Contractor's installation of these systems. There will be eighteen (18) rigid rail systems installed in the 600 Longworth Building and four (4) in the 601 Longworth Building for a total of twenty-two (22) systems. The construction workmanship, materials, equipment, and PPEs provided under this bid package shall meet all applicable, Local, State, Federal, ASTM, AISC, ANSI, OSHA, PEERP-OHIO safety, construction, permitting and regulatory requirements. All permits should be included in the cost of the project given the drawing package that has been provided. The RTA operates approximately 300 fleet vehicles throughout the Greater Dayton Ohio region. The rigid rail fall protections systems will be used by RTA employees in the Maintenance Department to safely work on the rooftops of our fleet of vehicles or other related maintenance needs as required. As stated in Section I above, there will be fourteen (14) rigid rail systems installed in the 600 Longworth Building and four (4) in the 601 Longworth Building for a total of eighteen (18) systems.
