The project will be rebid in the future.** Coxsackie Correctional Switchgear Contract term: 1 year Location: Coxsackie Correctional Facility 11260 Route 9W, Coxsackie, NY 12051 The primary power distribution system described below is comprised of (3) switchboards, Main Switchgear MSG-1, Normal/Emergency Switchgear MSG-2 and the Paralleling and Control Switchgear MSG-3. Each lineup of switchgear is rated 15kV max. voltage, 95kV BIL, 500MVA, 1200 Amp main bus, and 1200 Amp rating for each circuit breaker. The system is designed to operate at nominal 13,200 volts. The Main Switchgear MSG-1 contains (2) incoming utility main circuit breakers. The utility sources are designated PFS-1 & PFS-2 (utility#1 & utility#2). The utility sources are interlocked to allow only one of the sources to be connected at a time. The main switchgear MSG-1 distribution has (2) feeds to the Normal/Emergency Switchgear MSG-2, (2) feeds to Building 72 existing switchgear, and Feeder C. The (2) feeds to the normal/emergency switchgear are interlocked to allow only one of the feeds to be connected at a time. The feeds to building 72 will be interlocked with the existing generator circuit breaker so that utility power and generator power do not connect at the same time. The Normal/Emergency Switchgear is normally fed from the Main Switchgear MSG-1 via 1 0f 2 feeders. Loss of voltage sensing at the normal connection, with voltage available at the emergency connection will initiate an automatic changeover to the emergency connection. Automatic changeover will occur if a fault has occurred on the normal/emergency switchgear main bus as detected by the feeder protective relays. The Paralleling and Control Switchgear contains the circuit breakers, controls, and logic for (2) 820KW, 13,200V.3 phase, 60hz. Generators. The Paralleling and Control Switchboard interconnects to the Normal/Emergency Switchgear via a generator main circuit breaker. All system transfer controls and operator interface equipment is located in the Generator Control Switchboard.
