The Major Items of Work are approximately: 180,000 SY, Full Depth Reclamation 18,500 Ton, Type SP 9.5 Wearing Course Mixture (2,B) 26,300 Ton, Type SP 9.5 Wearing Course Mixture (2,C) 24,100 Ton, Type SP 12.5 Non Wearing Course Mixture (2,C) Bids must be sealed, identified on the envelope and accompanied by a Certified Check or a Bidder's Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid and made payable to the Treasurer of Benton County. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and further reserves the right to award the contract to serve the best interest of Benton County. The Contractor is advised to obtain the certification from each subcontractor as soon as the subcontractor completes work on the Project. Experience has shown that waiting until the project is complete to obtain the forms from all subcontractors is likely to result in significant additional work for the Contractor as it will be difficult or impossible to collect all forms. On Contracts with Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Targeted Group Business (TGB) or Veteran-Owned Small Business (VET) established goals, or any combination thereof, the Contractor's organization shall perform Work amounting to not less than 30 percent of the total original Contract Amount. The Department will deduct specialty items from the total original Contract Amount before calculating the amount of Work that the Contractor shall perform.
