Site work, renovation and addition to a detention facility in McKinney, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a 168,400-square-foot, three-story above grade detention facility.
Plans call for a three-story expansion to the adult detention facility totaling 168,400 square feet. The project is staged in three phases to keep the vehicle sally port in operation as long as possible. As of February 2024, a general contractor has been awarded. Construction is slated to commence March 2024. Contact the bidding GC(s) for access to the project documents and addenda, as the information has been classified as confidential in nature. Note from Sedalco Construction: ***PLEASE NOTE*** You will find references to Alternates 1, 2, 3, and 5 in the drawings. THESE ALTERNATES ARE TO BE IGNORED. Base bid is any area not labeled Alternates 1, 2, 3, 4/4a, or 5, and the only alternates that apply are indicated below and in Section 01 23 00 ALTERNATES: o Alt. 4/4a - Infirmary Remodel: Build-out of floor as indicated on Dwg. 1 on A231 - LEVEL 1 - FFMO/ADMIN & CLINIC FLOOR PLANS. o Alt. 6a - CPT3 Flocked Vinyl at base bid dayroom areas in lieu of polished concrete. o Alt. 7a - Terrazzo flooring and base at base bid showers and drying areas in lieu of epoxy. o Alt. 7e - Terrazzo flooring and base at Alternate 4 Infirmary Remodel area in lieu of epoxy. o Alt. 8a - Temporary chiller costs (monthly), including set up/take down to accommodate 310 TONS of cooling capacity. o Alt. 9 - Add 300' of 4 each 6" conduits for electrical and 300' of 4 each 4" conduits for data including 2 each 5' deep x 8' wide 2 hour rated vault enclosures (in the event existing power and data lines require relocation).
