The general scope of work includes, but is not limited to:
Base Bid No. 1: 100 LF of heavy-duty trench drain, 300 LF of storm sewer pipe and structures, and chain link fencing.
Base Bid No. 2: 1,600 SY of 8" PCC pavement, subgrade preparation and core-out, chain link fencing, and erosion control.
Alternate Bid No.1: 1,200 SY of 8" PCC pavement, subgrade preparation and core-out, and chain link fencing.
Alternate Bid No.2: 1,000 SY of 10" PCC pavement, subgrade preparation and core-out, chain link fencing, and erosion control.
Alternate Bid No.3: 1,700 SY of 10" PCC pavement, subgrade preparation and core-out,chain link fencing, and erosion control. A certified check drawn upon a solvent bank or bid bond executed by corporations authorized to contract as surety in Iowa, and submitted on AIA Document A310 - Bid Bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid and made payable to The Adjutant General, Iowa National Guard, shall be filed with each bidder's proposal as a guarantee that the accepted bidder shall enter into a contract with the State of Iowa and file an approved surety company Performance and Payment Bond for the faithful performance thereof. It is hereby agreed that when entering into this contract with the IAARNG the General Contractor will take documented steps to encourage participation from Targeted Small Businesses for the purpose of subcontracting or supplying of materials. The project has a Targeted Small Business participation goal of ten percent (10%). Award of this contract is dependent on receiving requested Federal and/or State funding. If such funding is not received within the sixty (60) day bid guarantee after the date of receiving bids, all rights and obligations under this agreement are considered null and void. All proposals shall be filed on forms furnished, sealed, and plainly marked as described in the Instructions to Bidders. The Iowa Army National Guard reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the proposal which appears to be in the best interest of the State of Iowa. Bid Result:
