Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Perris, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade clubhouse / community center.

Paint/Coat exterior (building envelope) with 100% Acrylic paint. (existing exterior surface is stucco). Exterior building envelope is described as all stucco surfaces on all floors. Existing stucco surface is currently a white shade. The contractor shall perform the following. a. Ensure reasonable care and the necessary protection measures to protect the entrances to the building, public and staff entering and leaving the building and walkways leading to the building. b. Ensure reasonable care and the necessary protection measures to protect adjacent structures, vehicles, landscape, and people in proximity of work. c. Ensure work site is free of work debris and cleaned as necessary at end of each workday. d. Ensure all painted/coated surfaces must be cleaned (power washed) and prepared per product manufacturer, industry standards and best practices. e. Ensure all minor cracks, blemishes, deterioration of stucco surface must be repaired prior to coating. Appropriate product must be used as required per type of repair. f. Ensure any/all joints (vertical and or horizontal) must be sealed with the appropriate type joint / sealant compound and conform to ASTM reference standards. g. Ensure Paint/Coating material is 100% Acrylic, of high-quality manufactured by: Dunn-Edwards, Sherwin-Williams, Vista, or PPG paint products h. Ensure product data submittal sheets are required for all products used in the project and must be pre-approved prior to use. i. Ensure all surfaces to receive paint finish must be examined to determine appropriate prep. Remove all electrical plates, hardware, and similar "fixtures" prior to coating. j. Ensure the accessibility to areas of work is performed in a safe manner. To ensure the safety of workers and general-public. k. Ensure all work performed in accordance with industry safety standards including but not limited to; Cal-OSHA l. Ensure doors, framing, windows, roof overhang, etc. must be protected from paint overspray, cut-in, etc. accordingly. m. Ensure to protect work of other adjacent surfaces, including but not limited to; concrete, building framing, ornaments, plants, etc. n. Ensure all necessary precautions to secure work, equipment, and painting stock after completion of work each day to prevent vandalism/theft/damages. p. Ensure appropriate use of drop-cloths, plastic, and cleaning of spills, splashes, etc. is required to help ensure clean and safe work area/environment q. Ensure to maintain humidity and temperature recommended by sealant and coating manufacturers to ensure deliverable quality assurance r. Coordinate all work with the appropriate/designated County representative s. Provide product, installers, contractor warranty The Charles G. Meigs Sr. Community Center is a County- Owned 44,000 sq. ft. two story structure located on approximately 30 acres. The facility houses both county and non-county entities to serve the constituents within Supervisorial District 1. The enclosed certified or cashier's check or bid bond on the provided form, made payable to the County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, is hereby given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute and deliver the Agreement and required bonds if awarded the contract. In the event that the bidder fails or refuses to execute and deliver said documents, such check or bond is to be charged with the costs of the damages experienced by the County as a result of such failure or refusal. The awarded bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds and insurance documents in accordance with the requirements stated in this RFB. The following license is required for this project: C-33 - Painting and Decorating Contractor or General Building Contractor B issued by the State of California. Contractor shall obtain, maintain and pay all licenses associated with construction activities, such as business licenses, Contractors' licenses and vehicle and equipment licenses. All costs for licenses shall be included in the Contract Sum.
