Site work for a water / sewer project in Pittsboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of February 9, 2023, the project has not been awarded as bids are still under review. An exact timeline for award has not been established, however, the project is scheduled to be discussed at a town board meeting scheduled for February 13, 2023. Contract II of Wastewater System Improvements for the installation of wastewater transmission lines, including: Approximately 57,500 LF of 18 force main and appurtenances by open cut Approximately 10,200 LF of 18 force main by horizontal directional drill Approximately 1,100 LF of 30 steel encasement and 18 force main by bore and jack Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Owner is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate. Small, minority and womans businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidding Documents may be examined at Engineer and Owner office After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the Contract.
