Demolition, site work and new construction of a library in Moorpark, California. Working plans call for the construction of a 17,272-square-foot, one-story above grade library; and for site work for a library.
As of June 2024, project still in design and not expected to start construction until spring 2025. As of October 2023, a Construction Manager contract was awarded to Balfour Beatty. From original solicitation: The new Moorpark City Library will be built just west of the Northwest corner of High Street and Moorpark Avenue in Moorpark, CA to replace the existing library nearby. The proposed site is approximately 2 acres with a proposed structure of 18,000 square feet. The new building will be one story and sit on a sloped site with significant potential for liquefaction that will require remediation prior to construction. A map showing the location is included as Appendix A. Questions about this RFP must be submitted by email to the Citys RFP administrator, Liz Smith at purchasing@moorparkca.gov. Requests for clarification or correction must be received no later than January 9, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. (PT).
