Site work and renovation of a civil project in Lowville, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work of the Project generally consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment required to construct a well pump control panel, install +/- 8,600 linear feet (LF) of water main and electrical line to service the well pumps, upgrades inside of the existing Village of Lowville Water Filtration Plant, and other associated work. This project is receiving funding from the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC). EFC requires a total MWBE participation of 20% for contractors and subcontractors working on the project. It is strongly recommended that all bidders familiarize themselves with this and the EFC requirements and goals in the EFC bid packet attached. It is strongly recommended that all Bidders visit the site and thoroughly familiarize themselves with the conditions of the work. There will be a site walk through on June 1 st at 10 AM for bidders to attend if they wish. Questions regarding the project must be submitted in writing to the ENGINEER and will be accepted until one week before the bid opening. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the OWNER, U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder or acceptable Sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the OWNER. The General Municipal Law of the State of New York requires that bidders certify, under penalty of perjury, that bids have been prepared without collusion with other bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. This certification is included within the Bid Form.
