Chantilly Fire Station - 2024 (Sully District): $20,000,000 is estimated to be required for design and construction of a renovated/expanded or replacement 4-bay fire station. The existing three bay station, constructed in 1989, requires upgrades to major building systems, enhanced bunkrooms and locker facilities for female personnel, and an additional apparatus bay for future growth. Other building space deficiencies include personal protective gear locker area, shop and medical storage, and decontamination area. The Route 28 Corridor is targeted for high density development which will increase the demand for emergency medical and fire suppression services. This project is proposed as part of the 2024 Public Safety Bond Referendum. As of August 29, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2027 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2023. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
