The City of Portland (Owner) is requesting Bids from firms interested and qualified to construct the Chris Andrews Boat Ramp. The project will consist of constructing a boat launch area into Nueces Bay along the Highway 181 frontage road between Portland, TX and Corpus Christi, TX. Project elements include a 30 ft wide boat ramp, timber docks, fish cleaning facility, parking lot and access driveways, and lighting. Construction can be completed using land-based equipment but it is also allowable to use a work barge for construction of project elements in the water. The project site limits are near environmentally sensitive areas. This work includes mobilization, site fill/excavation and grading above and below water, installation of geotextile fabric and surface preparation above and below water, installation of pre-cast concrete panels in water, installation of timber piles in water, parking lot paving (approximately 4011 SY), signing and striping, installation of water services, installation of site lighting and associated electrical components. The project includes a Base Bid and Alternate Bid Items. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents in writing to the project Engineer: Daniel E.
